Dear Mr. Darer,

On August 13 we asked you to come clean and prove to your readers that you no longer take fees, commissions or other payments for referring sellers to secondary market structured settlement funding companies. You are critical of others for doing so and have badgered these people for months upon end in your blogs. So as to settle the matter once and for all, we suggested that you make public your 2010 and 2011 IRS tax returns.

Why have you not responded to our challenge? John Darer, what are you trying to hide?

How is it that a client of yours you referred to Rhonda Bentzen (whom you have admitted under oath as receiving kickbacks from in the past) gets so much more money instead by going with Novation Capital on own? Given the positions you have taken, your readers deserve to know the answer.

So we make the request again. John Darer, show us your tax returns. Prove that you are not on the take.

On another note, we are working on a major news story about John Darer and his dealings that will blow peoples’ minds. Our story is a work in process as we are still gathering all of facts and the hard evidence. Stay tuned in the coming weeks or months for release as this will truly be worth the wait. You will never be able to think of him in the same way after these facts are released.

This just in — We all know now that there rough patch is over that John Darer refers structured settlement annuitants wishing to sell their payments on the secondary market over to his pal, Rhonda Bentzen, in return for personal gain (commissions). But did you know that one of John’s recent clients was so disappointed with the low offer he got from Bentzen Funding Solutions that he “took the bull by the horns”and struck out on his own to find Novation Capital, who offered $10,000 more than Bentzen.

So much for the Structured Settlement Watchdog looking out for clients’ best interests.

This begs the question, just how much does John Darer earn in commissions for cases he refer to his buddy Rhonda Bentzen? It seems he is not doing it for the benefit of his clients.

Mr. Darer, its about time you came clean. Show us your Income Tax Returns and prove that you are not raping your clients blind with exorbitant referral fees. Do the right thing, and prove that you are the champion of annuitants’ rights that you say you are. Because it’s really curious why Novation Capital, without having to pay a broker fee, was able to offer more than $10,000 over Bentzen.

Yesterday I reported to the the public at large that John Darer has regularly accepted commissions from various Structured Settlement Factoring Companies. Within hours of making the post John Darer wrote the following in response.

3. We are no longer engaged in the debate over structured settlement factoring compensation (That’s so late 2007-early 2009), … The world has changed. The structured settlement transparency category links have been removed from this blog, including all of the affidavits signed by participants. The posts will remain.

How convenient for Mr. Darer that as soon as I turn up the heat that he conveniently decides to get out of the fire and starts deleting files! Luckily I expected as much (or as little) from Mr. Darer so I have made backups. This discussion in far from over. Does anyone feel it getting hotter in here?

It sounds like The Structured Settlement Watchdog’s bark is coming from a Chihuahua.

Dear John Darer,

Regarding your web post on July 18, 2012 discussing a popular factoring company you state cannot be trusted because they sent emails to multiple companies offering a referral payment.

But in the past haven’t you;

1) Accepted money from the same factoring company to be paid to a charity of your choice.
2) In your affidavit (filed January 27, 2012) regarding the Bentzen Defamation Lawsuit you admitted to accepting referral fees on 4 deals from the factoring company where Bentzen had worked and
3) You send people UNSOLICITED BULK EMAIL.

You proclaim that you are the Structured Settlement industry’s Watchdog in a quest to rid the industry of all the bad apples but why are you attacking others when all you have to do is look in the mirror to find the worst offender.

Dictionary.com defines a HYPOCRITE as:

A person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions contradict his or her statements.

That definition of HYPOCRITE fits John Darer perfectly!

John you truly seem incapable of discerning right from wrong. Were you dropped on your head as a child? I am very concerned that you might be mentally challenged so I am going to make the extra effort of turning each of my post to you into a podcast. John a podcast is really easy to use. Hi. I just wanted to quickly update everyone. Thanks to an unexpected and anonymous $50.00 donation we have 2 new sites coming online later today. I met with John Darer earlier in the year. Having relocated to the North East, I was looking to establish a relationship within the industry for my area clients. I initially felt comfortable enough with Mr. Darer to direct a client to his office. I cannot begin to explain the unprofessional behavior she encountered with Mr. Darer. His actions and double entrendres didn’t border on misogyny, they went sailing past that boundary. Considering that the majority of my clients are women, with health conditions, to say I was stunned by his behavior during the course of several meetings is an understatement. I’m still flabbergasted by the treatment we received at his hands. Is there anyone out there doing anything about this person? Any group or organization with whom a complaint can be lodged? I’d appreciate any information that can direct me to remedy or at least report this horrible incident. It has had a very negative impact on my reputation.

Every once and awhile John Darer writes some very informational articles but unfortunately the guy is so unstable that the majority of his work ends up coming across and the ramblings of a lunatic.

I have been attending the same industry conferences as John Darer for a very long time. I have stood directly across from him during dozens of discussions and I have attended many sessions where John Darer was one of the speakers.

As with all conferences a major part of going to one is getting the chance to socialize/network with others in the same industry. It is the main reason that we have them in the first place. We all want to eat good food and drink, socialize with one another and hopefully learn a few things as well.

Then there is John Darer. I can honestly say as a veteran of these conferences that EVERYONE who attends literally considers the meeting a personal and professional success if they were able to dodge having to speak or God forbid sit next to John Darer for any length of time. We all cringe when we see him walking towards us and when he leaves we all just smile at one another. Everyone single one of us consider him a vile and disgusting individual and that the industry would be a much better place without him.

For anyone who knows him personally or professionally there is no need to explain any of this. You all know what I am talking about but for those who have had the pleasure of never having to meet or speak to him the best way to explain John Darer is to compare him as our industry’s version of Kim Kardashian.

Some people are fascinated with Kim Kardashian (and John Darer) because they are so completely clueless and insane that we have to watch what stupid thing they are going to do next. It is human nature to stop and look at an accident and John and Kim are both accidents waiting to happen. They are both Megalomaniacs that have forgotten how to act rationally and just like reality TV we all tune in for their next disaster.

Take for instance Rhonda Bentzen and John Darer. For quite a long time they were very good friends. There was even a rumor that they had slept together at one of the conferences years ago. Then Rhonda made the mistake of disagreeing with one of John’s outrageous blog statements. John Darer attacked her ruthlessly for over a year until she had no choice left but to sue him.

Rhonda Bentzen did absolutely nothing wrong but to disagree with a single post that John Darer wrote. That ASSHOLE (sorry but there is no other word for him) tortured her over a simple disagreement. Over the next year John Darer wrote on his blog that Rhonda Bentzen was an “Insensitive Trogolyte”, “a Wingding”, “a Factoring Beeyatch”, “A Pimp”, “A Factoring Madame”, “the type of person who pisses into her companions shoes under the table”, “unethical”, “fat” and “stupid”.

Most of us have met Rhonda Bentzen on multiple occasions. She is a true professional and an extremely nice person who never deserved any of this. She has young children that relied on her income and for no reason John Darer attacked her and anyone in our industry who continued to deal with her until she had virtually nothing left.

As a veteran in the same industry as John Darer I would like to say that I am sorry to all the people that John Darer has attacked for no reason whatsoever. John Darer is a very sick man who is clearly insane in such a manner that he will destroy someone both personally and professional for no reason whatsoever.
